Integrative Cancer Care

Healing from cancer is not about

“the Fight”

Cancer is a transformation of the tissues, cells and organs of our body. These transformations have a natural reason and purpose. This is almost always in response to some form of prolonged stress or imbalance in our lives. So to fight cancer would be the same as fighting ourselves and fighting Nature. Healing from cancer can only come from cooperating with Nature, not from engaging in an all-out fight against her.

Healing begins in the moment we honor and respect the signs that something may be seriously out of balance somewhere in our lives. This imbalance is causing stress – so much so that our bodies have responded to the stress by some parts of it transforming from normal cells to cancer cells. Finding out what those imbalances are and resolving the stress naturally is what leads to healing from cancer.

Integrative Cancer Care - What It’s For

Medicine of HOPE believes that starting a series of high-dose chemotherapy treatments immediately upon receiving a diagnosis of cancer is almost always a very unwise way to begin therapy. When the body is already out of balance and under stress adding large doses of highly toxic chemotherapy drugs to fight cancer always increases the stress on the mind and body which makes the problem worse.

Far better to begin by taking some time to detoxify and rebalance the body’s cleansing systems, to strengthen and replenish its nutritional reserves, and to be sure all the pathways of cleansing and elimination are in good working order. This is an opportunity to let the mind know that’s it is OK and safe to let the body go into a gentle healing process.

Having done that, then beginning some treatments using Integrative Medicine therapies side-by-side with low-dose chemotherapy that is directly targeted to tumor cells can be very useful and is easily done with minimal side effects. Most patients respond to this type of approach much better than to immediately using full-dose chemotherapy.

Integrative Cancer Care - Who It’s For

Integrative Cancer Care is ideal for people:

  • who are newly diagnosed as having cancer and do not want to have the standard forms of cancer therapy.  Integrative Cancer Care usually works very well for people whose bodies are not toxic from having had prior chemotherapy.
  • who would like to have low-dose chemotherapy for its therapeutic effects without being subjected to the side effects of full-dose chemotherapy.
  • who are currently under treatment for cancer and want to make a change. This person may just recently have learned that Integrative medicine options are available. They may feel they are unable or unwilling to continue to tolerate the side effects of conventional chemotherapy. Detoxification from prior chemotherapy is an important part of this program.
  • who have finished a full course of conventional therapy and their cancer appears to be under control yet they feel a need for prevention.
  • who have finished full course of conventional therapy and their cancer does not appear to be under control. They may not want to go any further with conventional therapies that are clearly not working for them.
  • who are dealing with long-term side effects of conventional medicine and want to find ways to reduce the side effects.

Our patients are independent thinkers.  They like to carefully consider all the available information and have a voice in choosing their care. They believe that their interests will be better served through Integrative Medicine therapies and treatments.

Integrative Cancer Care - How It Works

Healing from cancer is a naturally gentle process. Healing requires using therapies that support and facilitate the normal, healthy function of the body’s cells while removing the source of stress that caused the cancer to appear originally.

Integrative Cancer Care therapies include:

  • An initial series of intravenous treatments to help cleanse the major organs and “prime” the body’s system for the cleansing that will follow.
  • Another series of intravenous treatments that help re-oxygenate and re-balance the natural, healthy metabolism of our cells.
  • Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT)  uses low-doses of chemotherapy medications in a way that removes cancer cells yet is gentle on the body.
  • Nutritional balancing and replenishment.
  • Brain-Balancing is a hands-on treatment to help heal the parts of the brain that are connected to the affected body parts.
  • Energy Medicine helps restore proper flow of living energy in the body.
  • Health Coaching will teach you techniques to use at home on a regular basis.
  • Dietary Counseling for learning more about making dietary choices that support the healing process.

“Integrative Cancer Care protects and maintains one’s Quality of Life all throughout therapy.

Integrative Cancer Care - Why It Works

All of the therapies and treatments in our Integrative Cancer Care program are designed to help relieve the stress and restore balance. Then the body can stop growing cancer cells because it doesn’t need them anymore and can begin the clean-up of the older ones that are already there.

Our therapies are designed to help increase the natural metabolism of how the cells use oxygen to convert our food to energy.  That process is called “oxidative metabolism”. All of our Integrative Medicine therapies are designed to reduce stress and increase and rebalance the oxidative metabolism of all the cells in the body.

Integrative Cancer Care - 3 Levels of Care

3 Levels of Care are Available to Accommodate any Schedule

  • A series of intravenous treatments are done in the office.  These are done once daily, Monday-Friday for 6 weeks.  Each treatment takes about 2-3 hours.
  • OrthoPax™ are taken in the office daily for the duration of care.
  • Weekly sessions with Dr. Schwengel for BioScan, brain balancing, and treatment review
  • Weekly sessions with Malonie Gabriel for energy medicine, health coaching and dietary counseling

  • 30 intravenous treatments are done in the office. These are done at a schedule that is convenient and that fits one’s lifestyle needs. The 30 intravenous treatments can be given just a few times a week. For example, taking 3 treatments a week would take 10 weeks, and taking just 1 treatment weekly would take 30 weeks.  Each treatment takes about 1 hour.
  • OrthoPax™ are taken once daily for the duration of care.
  • Weekly sessions with Dr. Schwengel for BioScan, brain balancing, and treatment review
  • Weekly sessions with Malonie Gabriel for energy medicine, health coaching and dietary counseling

The Comprehensive schedule is ideal for:

People who live in the local area, and who may have jobs or family needs to consider and who can come to the office on a regular schedule.

Shifting between schedule options can be done at any time as one’s needs change. Also, someone on an Efficient schedule may change to either an Intensive or Comprehensive schedule.
