Since diseases form as a natural response to prolonged conflicts, stresses, nutritional deficiencies, and accumulation of toxins, Medicine of HOPE practitioners approach treatment with the understanding that cancer and other chronic illnesses are symptoms or a wake-up call. Rather than the common approach that focuses on fighting selected symptoms, we focus on the whole person to restore physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and energetic wellness to establish patterns for healthy living.
Our therapies include Homeopathy, IPT (Insulin Potentiation Therapy with low dose chemotherapy or homeopathic medicines), Lymph Drainage Therapy, Whole Food Nutrition, Herbal Formulas that help stimulate the natural immune and defense systems of the body, and Intravenous Therapies, including Oxygen, Ozone and Vitamin C to help strengthen the immune system, and Chelation Therapy to reduce harmful heavy metals. Dr. Schwengel is one of the nation’s leading experts on developing treatment plans for people living with cancer. He is a graduate of the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, is a Homeopathic Physician, and is certified in IPT (Insulin Potentiation Therapy). After seeing how Homeopathic Medicine helped his stepfather achieve a “miraculous” recovery from heart disease, and experiencing his mother’s complete recovery from Stage 4 cancer using only natural medicine, Dr. Schwengel dedicates his professional life to assisting people to heal from cancer & chronic illness naturally by focusing on the root cause.
Dr. Schwengel is very active in the holistic medical community and is a successful speaker & radio show guest serving to educate the public on healing from cancer. He served on the Arizona Board of Homeopathic and Integrative Medical Examiners from 1998 – 2007, and was its President from 2005 – 2007. He maintains professional and associate memberships in a number of Osteopathic and Homeopathic medical associations.
Dr. Schwengel is one of only a few Physicians certified in Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT), which targets cancer cells with homeopathic medicine or low dose chemotherapy. His comprehensive approach and focus is on identifying and treating the causes of cancer, chronic pain and dis-ease and the supposedly un-diagnosable for sustained healing through his holistic approach.
In addition to his holistic medical practice at Medicine of HOPE Cancer Treatment Center in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Schwengel is a private pilot and enjoys flying and motorcycle touring.

Malonie Gabriel, , BA, LMT, EEM-CLP
Malonie’s greatest challenge in life has been to overcome fear. She was born and raised in communist Hungary where as a child she ran for her life from soldiers. At age 21, she defected from Hungary, alone, with just $10 in her pocketbook. She went on to create a fulfilling, successful life for herself upon finding a profound understanding of forgiveness and finding her powerful inner strength & meaning in life.
Malonie is a natural healer, which means that she was born with the ability to perceive and work with the human energy field. She has had extensive training to develop these innate abilities into a healing art. She is a certified Eden Energy Medicine Clinical Practitioner, a Healing Touch Practitioner, Reiki Master and trained in several other healing modalities. She is also an authorized trainer for Energy Healing for Women as well as an instructor at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA).
Practicing in the holistic health field since the early 80’s, Malonie specializes in Lymph Drainage Therapy, Oncology Massage, Health Coaching and Energy Medicine. She is a licensed esthetician, certified in the Dr. Hauschka holistic skin and body treatments.
She is happily married to Dr. Schwengel and is a partner in their holistic healing practice.
